What now? This is a defining moment when it’s time to sink or swim.
In order to keep your home business afloat, there are 5 fast, foolproof, free, totally out of the box proven techniques to generate leads for your home based business.
Warm Market List
When you first started network marketing, someone probably told you to write a list of everyone that you know. If you haven’t done this, you should. If you have done this, you should do it again.
What’s the big deal about the list? This list is the most important tool in your business.
It’s the cornerstone of your whole network marketing career. Make a list of everyone you know or even think about knowing.
Write down family and friends of course- but dig deeper. You know people everywhere. Think about where you go for coffee, where you shop, and go to the gym. Once you start thinking, you’ll be surprised at who you know.
After you’ve made this warm market list- call them! You’d be surprised at how many network marketers make a list but never actually call everyone on the list! Don’t be part of that statistic.
Even if you’ve beaten your warm market list into the dirt, call them again. Make sure you have some helpful new information for them or let them know about a money-saving promotion your company is offering.
A special tip-ask for help! If you’re calling your friends, tell them that you need their help. Who would say no to a friend in need?
Let them know that you are trying to grow your business or reach a sales goal. Ask them to help you out by trying your products or by attending an opportunity meeting.
6 degrees of separation
A warm market list is a great tool for your business. Think about the six degrees of separation-everyone on average is six steps away from the next person, so a friend of a friend could be actually be your friend- or your contact! By far the easiest, least expensive way to grow this list is to consistently ask for referrals.
Actually, the key to consistently adding to your list to grow your business is to consistently ask for referrals. Make it your business to get a referral from everyone that you call. Call everyone on your referral list and make sure you ask each of the referrals for a referral.
And so on and so on. Regardless if the person has said yes or no to you, your, product, and your opportunity, ask them, “do you know anyone else looking to ____________?”
Do this and your list will grow exponentially.
The 52 Card Pick-Up
Another proven way to add to your list is from a master. I call it the 52 card pick up, and it’s as easy as the name suggest. Pick up business cards in your local area like stores or bulletin boards where people are offering their services. Call these new additions to your list and make sure you ask them if they happen to know anyone else interested in…
The Shopaholic
One of my all time favorite prospecting techniques I’ve named “The Shopaholic”. It’s greatness is in its simplicity. Whenever you’re out shopping, strike up a conversation with the salesperson. Ask them questions about themselves, how they like their job, what they like about it, and so forth. Tell them that the company you work with is looking for qualified people and you’d be happy to send them some information. Get their contact information and add them to your ever-growing list.
The Sleeper
The Sleeper is so easy you can get contacts in your sleep! All you have to do is get some boxes and some registration forms. This is a promotional campaign called “Register to Win a Free-cool gift from your company!” Leave forms and pencils so people can fill in their contact information and the winner can be notified. Put these boxes in high traffic areas and you’ll be picking up loads of leads in no time.
Remember, network marketing is a great work from home business, but in order to grow, you have to get out of the
house and into the trenches!
Network, call people, and meet people. Look for opportunities, but more importantly make opportunities to grow a successful network marketing home based business.
